Renie Rule
Renie Rule is the founding patron of the Paws in Prison program, a distinction no one else will receive. In 2008, Rule became interested in developing a dog training program in Arkansas modeled after similar programs operating in prisons in other states. She later approached Gov. Mike Beebe about the idea, and he embraced it. Rule then met with ADC Director Ray Hobbs, and he supported having such a program in Arkansas’ prison system.
The rest is now history. Rule’s partnership with ADC made it happen. Her contributions have helped save homeless dogs from perishing, while providing a positive program for incarcerated individuals.
Rule is the Community Relations Manager of Restore Hope Arkansas. Over the years, she has raised millions as a volunteer for projects such as the Maximum Security Unit chapel at Tucker; Second Presbyterian Church chapel, youth building and endowment; Arkansas Symphony Orchestra; Wildwood Park Opera Theatre and the Junior League of Little Rock’s headquarters.
