It’s past time for some good news…so let’s talk about Derrek. He’s been in and out of prison six times since 2010. He has a long list of convictions, mostly for theft-related and drug-related crimes. But he also has a domestic battery and a firearm possession. The last time he came back to ADC was 2017. He was locked up for about two and a half years. And during that time, he completed the welding program at the Varner Unit. Derrek is out now. He paroled to another state in December…where he has a full-time job as a welder. That’s Derrek in the picture. He’s doing great and is making a good living. Remember, the programs are here for any offender who wants to use to turn their life around!!
