Victim Input Meetings
- The Victim Input Meetings are scheduled at the request of victims or their family members.
- Victims or family members, and their designated representatives, are welcome to attend the meeting.
- Inmates will never be present at a Victim Input Hearing.
- The decision to grant or deny parole/post-release supervision is based upon numerous factors, in addition to the parole/post-release supervision hearing and victim input meeting.
- Due to the number of meetings scheduled, the time allowed for each individual will be limited.
- Please Note: The Victim Input Coordinator will need at least one weeks notice, if you plan to utilize audio and video equipment or if you require the use of an interpreter for translation purposes.
Victim Impact Statements
The submission of a victim impact (input) statement is a voluntary right for victim/survivors of crime. The purpose of the victim impact (input) statement is to provide post prison transfer board members with the opportunity to understand how the crime has affected you, your family, and those close to you. Victims/Survivors have the right to be heard. Your voice does matter!
Victim Resources List
There may be different times during the post-conviction events that victims/survivors may need information, resources, and support. The following is a list of various service providers for crime victims/survivors. Contact the agency(s) of your choice to help build the best team for your safety and recovery. Some of the agencies listed will not provide direct services to victims but may provide training and other helpful information to help survivors learn more about trauma, victims’ rights, the criminal justice process, and other resource providers. Victims/Survivors may spend more time in the criminal justice process in the “post-conviction” stage. Feel free to reach out to any of the resource providers listed below during any stage of the criminal justice process.

Arkansas Crime Victim Reparations: (ACVR)
Arkansas Crime Victims Reparations: The Arkansas Crime Victims Reparations Program (CVRB) is a financial compensation program for victims of violent crime. Reparations and restitution are not the same. Victims of violent crime may suffer financial stress as devastating as their physical injuries and emotional trauma. Recovering from violence or abuse is difficult enough without having to worry about how to pay for the costs of medical care and counseling, or about how to replace lost income due to disability or death.
The CVRB program has two programs the CV – Crime Victims, for victims of violent crimes and the SA – Sexual Assault Program, for children, teens and adult affected by sexual violence. The program can assist victims and their families with funeral expenses, medical expenses, mental health and other out of pocket expenses associated with the crime. Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence: (ACADV)
The Arkansas Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ACADV) does not provide direct services to victims. However, ACADV includes a link and other information to shelter resources and order of protection information. Order of protection information may vary by county/area.

Arkansas Coalition Against Sexual Assault: (ACASA)
The Arkansas Coalition Against Sexual Assault (ACASA) does not provide direct services to victims. However, ACASA includes a link to sexual violence, human trafficking, and domestic violence crisis centers:

Arkansas Crime Information Center:(ACIC)
The Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) is a division of Arkansas Public Safety. ACIC provides information ranging on victims’ rights and resources through “A Crime Victim’s Guide to The Justice System in Arkansas”, the Arkansas Online Sex Offender Registry, and Victim Information & Notification Everyday (VINE) system.

VINELink – Empowering Victims of Crime
We strongly encourage victim/ survivors to sign up for VINE. VINE is the nation’s leading victim notification system. VINE also provides victim/survivors/citizens to up to date information on offenders in U.S. prison facilities. VINE also provides information regarding basic needs, financial, and counseling resources for victims/ survivors.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving: (MADD)
MADD serves victims of drunk, drugged, and impaired driving. Victims’ rights, resources, and help with completing victim compensation forms is available with MADD. MADD also helps in preparing victim impact statements.
National Center for Victims of Crime: (NCVC)
The National Center for Victims of Crime is a nonprofit organization that advocates for victims’ rights, trains professionals who work with victims, and serves as a trusted source of information on victims’ issues. The center is committed to working on behalf of crime victims and their families. Rather than focus the entire organization’s work on one type of crime or victim, the National Center addresses all types of crime.

National Center For Missing & Exploited Kids: (NCMEC)

National Crime Victim Law Institute: (NCVLI)
NCVLI actively promotes comprehensive and enforceable legal rights for crime victims, and access to knowledgeable attorneys to help protect those rights in every case through victim centered legal advocacy, education and resources.

National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children: (POMC)
The National Organization of Parents of Murdered Children (POMC) provides services for the families and friends of those who have died by violence. There are national chapters of POMC around the U.S. Arkansas has a state chapter. The national POMC website provides numerous programs and resources for victims/survivors. Programs include but are not limited to parole block, list of some of the problems some survivors face, ask the experts, second opinion, murder wall, and other forms.
National Organization for Victim Advocacy: (NOVA) does not provide direct services to victims of crime. However, NOVA does provide training and information on trauma, victims’ rights, and other resources. Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network: (RAINN)
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN also carries out programs to prevent sexual violence, help survivors, and ensure that perpetrators are brought to justice.

Federal Bureau of Investigation Victim Services Division
The Victim Services Division (VSD) informs, supports, and assists victims in navigating the aftermath of crime and the criminal justice process with dignity and resilience.
VSD is responsible for ensuring that victims of crimes investigated by the FBI are given the opportunity to receive services and notification as required by federal law and the Attorney General Guidelines on Victim and Witness Assistance.

DomesticShelters.org is an online and mobile searchable directory of domestic violence programs and shelters in the U.S. and Canada.
DomesticShelters.org works to make more people aware of the services available for those experiencing domestic violence and make it faster and easier for victims of domestic violence and their friends/family, as well as program and shelter providers, to quickly find services and information best suited to their location, language and needs.
