Executive Clemency Applications

Under Arkansas Statute §16-93-204, the Post-Prison Transfer Board has the authority to assist the Governor in exercising his/her authority in granting reprieves, commutations, and pardons, and shall perform such other services as may be required by the Governor in exercising his/her powers of executive clemency.

Effective November 1, 2023
 NOTE: All Pardon Applications MUST be accompanied by no less than three (3) letters of recommendation from a family member, friend, present or former employer, and/or other reputable individual from the community who may desire to testify to the moral character and good behavior of the applicant.

A Pardon is a total forgiveness of a criminal penalty.

A Commutation is a reduction of a criminal penalty.
