West Memphis, Arkansas: From March 4, 2025 to March 6, 2025, a large-scale, a multijurisdictional team of law enforcement agents conducted a Sex Offender Compliance Operation in Crittenden County, Arkansas. Agents with the Arkansas Division of Community Correction’s Sex Offender Services Unit led the Operation, which consisted of agents from multiple agencies:
- 2nd Judicial Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
- Arkansas Division of CommunityCorrections (Area 4 Probation and Parole,Sex Offender Services Unit, and Special Response Team).
- Arkansas National Guard.
- Arkansas Internet Crimes Against Chilcren’s (ICAC) Division of Arkansas State Police.
- Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office.
- Jonesboro Police Department.
- Marion Police Department.
- West Memphis Police Department.
- And United States Marshal Service.



On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Comprehensive Law Enforcement Teams from the participating Agencies began conducting early morning consent searches at each registered sex offender’s residence. The visits to the registered sex offender’s homes ensured proper verification as required by Arkansas State Law and enhanced community safety endeavors. Targets included approximately 100 registered sex offenders in Crittenden County with an emphasis on moderate to high-risk sex offenders. During the Operation, Agents conducted digital on-scene forensic triages of multiple computers, cellular phones, digital storage data devices, and tablets. 12 people during the Operation.



Those arrested were charged with various offenses, including possession of child sexual material, firearm possession, engaging in a criminal gang, and failure to comply with registration requirements.

Three (3) additional arrest were made of non-sex offenders:



All those who were arrested, given a citation, or both are presumed innocent.
Agents continue their investigations and will be seeking warrants for those out of compliance with sex offender registration requirements. The Crittenden County Sex Offenders Compliance Operation was a huge success largely due to the total commitment of each agency to community safety. Today, Crittenden County is a safer community due to these collaborative efforts.
